Key finally opened on 5th July 2008, the day of the Doctor Who series 4 finale. Which, if you're not a Doctor Who fan, you won't know about it. Still! It's a special day for me.
why keyofdestiny? Simple. Roxas is the XIII'th member of Organization XIII, and his name, is 'Key Of Destiny', such as Axel is 'The Flurry Of Dancing Flames'. Roxas has, throughout the years, grown on me like a number of the Kingdom Hearts cast, so it's fitting that the domain is named after him (that, and the fact he seems to feature in a fair number of my Kingdom Hearts tributes. He gets around). I grew to like his angsty little self in Kingdom Hearts II, but also his puppy-like innocence in 358. C'mon, the boy needs a hug.
Despite being named after Roxas, the domain has never actually featured him in either of its two versions. This is because in layouts, he doesn't like to work with me. That, and 'keyofdestiny' can be losely applied to other characters too - anyone who wields a keyblade. As such, that is primarily why Aqua from Birth By Sleep is central to this layout. The second part is that I was excited for the release of said Birth By Sleep whilst making it, and I love Aqua (and the layout) enough to keep using it for the forseeable future.
